In 2016, India’s Ministry of Human Resource Development reported that 4 out of every 10 schools in India lack suitable and adequate playground infrastructure. Government schools in India often have the land but lack the resources to develop playgrounds. P4P is on a mission to address this essential need.
Since 2007, P4P has sponsored play equipment at these schools. By July 2021, over 530 schools have benefited from the programme.
P4P runs on contributions from its trustees and benefactors. All P4P staff are volunteers. With negligible operating and administrative costs, all funding received goes to beneficiaries and activities.
